The Bancroft Police Department, in Shiawassee County MI, is looking to hire a part time Police Officer.

 

Requirements:

Applicants MUST BE CERTIFIED;

Applicants must be available to work nights, weekends, and Holidays, shifts are varying and may not be consistent;

Applicants must be community oriented, willing to enforce local ordinances, and enforce State Laws;

Applicants must be able to pass a drug test, background test, and physical examination if needed;

Applicants must be a Michigan resident with a valid driver’s license, and clean driving record.

Accepting Sealed Bids

Accepting sealed bids for a 1999 Dodge Ram 2wd pickup. Vehicle will be sold “AS IS”. Bids are due in to the village office by January 8th @ 3:00 pm. Bids will be opened at 5:00 pm January 8th. The Village Council will discuss bids at the January 8th council meeting. Please download and fill out the Sealed Bid Form to place your bid. ALL NIGHT PARKING PROHIBITED

PLEASE HELP THE DPW KEEP THE ROADS PLOWED IN AN EFFICIENT MANNER

ORDINANCE NO: 247-10

A person shall not park a vehicle upon a street between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 6: a.m. within the Business district of the Village of Bancroft, from November 1 st thru March 3 1 st except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the law or the directions of a police officer.

  • A person who is found to be in violation of this ordinance shall be punished by a fine of $10.00 and / or have said vehicle towed away at the owner’s expense.
  • A person who is found to be in violation of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Municipal Civil Infraction.
  • Business district shall be defined as Main St. from Sprague St. to Robinson St. and Warren St. from Beach St. to Shiawassee St.
