With the arctic cold snap arriving soon, the Bancroft DPW would like to remind you that running water can prevent frozen pipes. Leaving faucets on at a fast drip and eliminating drafts near pipes will greatly increase the chance of keeping things flowing. The village does not meter water usage, so it will not affect your water bill. This will also help keep water mains from freezing which is both costly and inconvenient for DPW personnel and residents.
